About this quiz Unhappiness in relationships is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. It can be helpful to know what language you speak and what language those around you speak. Take the Quiz! Check out the Book | | |
| Lately, I've been subsisting on a diet of Tim's crazy laughter, piano practice, musical analysis, Cary Grant films, and Bach. One from each major food group. I guess what I really have to say is that Bach feels like sunshine and like spring, like growth, like golden, muted autumn light, and like health. And his part-writing is bracing.

Do you notice how crazy that violin part is? We're playing this in orchestra, and it's going to be divine to hear Bethany master it.

| A few Christmas presents:
For me (yay!), from Grampa For Grampa, from my father For Caleb, from my father (are we geeks? Yes, we're geeks.) And again for me, from (guess who), my father.
I'd say all in all, that went pretty well. I'm so excited about the knitting book I could dance on campus. And my grandfather will have hours of fun with the Firefly, if my dad ever puts it down long enough for him to use it.

| It had become a glimmering girl With apple blossom in her hair Who called me by my name and ran And faded through the brightening air
I can't get that melody out of my head. It's a poem to which I've written an art song (The Song of the Wandering Angus, by Yeats), and I'm presenting it today in my composition jury. Wish me luck, I'll probably need it.

| Where, oh where shall I buy/rent 8 pairs of 1920s typewriters and phones? Ideas, anyone?
Oh, and my composition professor just made a Yes reference. . . .
Which puts me in mind, regarding Janelle's previous question, The Wall is an album by Pink Floyd, a band worth getting to know.
